Lipu Lijiang National Wetland Park is located in source area of Pearl River, which is between Guangxi Dayaoshan National Nature Reserve, Guxiu Nature Reserve, Lagou Nature Reserve, Jiaqiaoling Nature Reserve and Haiyangshan Nature Reserve, is the key area for biodiversity protecting. The total area of park is 695.28ha, including 391.37ha wetland area, wetland rates is 56.3%. There are a variety of national Ⅱ level key protected animals and plants, like Lophura nycthemera, Rana rugulosa, Anguilla marmorata, Leptobotia guilinensis, Parabotia lijiangensis, Sect. Camphora (Trew) Meissn. etc.. karst landform, geological structure, rock geomorphology, karst cave and other geological relics are preserved well in this area, exhibited tower karst landscape, karst ecosystem and the process of mutual evolution and grading in hot and humid area.
The wetland park detailed construction plan proposes the “Breathing Green Silk Belt” designing ideas in order to build Lijiang into a place full of ecology, culture and dynamic. At the same time, the plan is combined with community building by surrounding villages, to realize the coordinated construction between wetland park and community through, the construction of new countryside, the renovation of the environment and the construction of the community.
This project is aimed at “Protection, Restoration and Development”, in order to strengthen the protection of wetland park. Through ecological engineering construction measures, such as river wetland restoration, ecological revetment construction, gravel shoal restoration and the recovery of fish and bird’s habitat, we restore damaged wetland ecosystem in reasonable ways, for maintaining the biodiversity of important water supply and conserving area in Nanling Mountain and protecting the people’s water security in Lipu County.
